Not at all. Paint Big is designed for artists at different stages of their mural journey. You should have an interest in painting and creating on a larger scale, but you don’t need years of mural experience, nor the intent to pursue muralism professionally. We’ll meet you where you’re at and support you throughout this creative experience.

Your ticket includes a 2hour Zoom call to be held before the event (multiple time options will be available), the full 3-day Paint Big experience at Mural Nomad HQ, daily access to the studio from 9am till 6pm, designated wall section to match your needs, tailored and timely guidance throughout the weekend, provided materials and paint required for your unique experience, and the opportunity to learn, experiment and connect with other artists. We will also offer daily lunch and a folder with quality footage of the event.

The main mural painting materials and paint will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your favourite brushes, sketchbook, iPad or other creative tools you enjoy working with. Artists in the past have brought their leftover or favourite paint to be practical. We’ll send you a simple packing list before the event.

Paint Big takes place at Mural Nomad HQ in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Full arrival information and studio details will be included in your confirmation.

No. Paint Big is a studio-based experience and accommodation and travel are not included in your ticket. If you’re travelling to the Gold Coast, we can provide some guidance on areas to stay and getting to the studio.

Paint Big is intentionally kept very small so everyone gets meaningful wall time, support and space to experiment. We allocated enough wall surface space for each artists's dream mural to become possible. Availability varies between sessions and on rare occasions can be up to 3 artists. Once the available places for a date are booked, that session is closed.

Community members receive $200 off their Paint Big ticket. Your private discount code can be found inside the Mural Nomad HQ community and entered at Stripe checkout. In case that doesn't work, you can email us directly to [email protected] for a direct invoice for the discounted amount and we'll manually secure your spot

You’ll receive a confirmation email from us with your booking details. Closer to Paint Big, we’ll send everything you need to prepare, including arrival information, what to bring and any other details for your session.

We understand that plans can change, particularly when travelling from afar. As our sessions are intentionally kept extremely small, your booking reserves one of only a few available artist places and prevents that place from being offered to somebody else.

Cancellations made more than 30 days before your session may receive a refund minus the $200 non-refundable booking deposit. For cancellations 14–30 days before your session, your booking may be transferred once to another available Paint Big date within 12 months, or tranferred. Bookings cancelled within 14 days are non-refundable and non-transferable unless we are able to successfully fill your place.
